Eyelash Extension | The Lash and Nail Bar

I believe every woman wants long, thick and luxurious eyelashes. That’s why we invest on so many different kinds of mascara and artificial eyelashes.  Most women don't have the time or patience (like me) to apply artificial eyelashes every day. (We barely have enough time to use an eyelash curler!). 

Meet up with Evelyn last month and she shown me her eyelash extension. Oh My, she looks totally different. Her eyelashes look so natural and further enhances her appearance. Simply gorgeous! Under temptation, Evelyn make an appointment for Jin and me. 

 On the appointment day, some of tips from Evelyn prior heading to salon includes; NO eye makeup definitely,  because this might affects the adhesive on eyelash and DO NOT use contact lenses.

On the appointment day, I was told by my beautician (Elaine), applying a full set of lashes will takes about  60-90 minutes and make sure my eyes close the whole time , a lot of people will fall asleep during the progress. The lashes are applied one at a time using a specially formulated, semi-permanent glue that will not irritate the eye nor damage our natural lash.

The beauticians then will design the lashes shape, length and thickness based on individual. Sticker will be applied on both lower and upper eyelid. This is meant for fixing the position and preventing us from blinking during the process!

 Unlike those artificial eyelashes, the beautician will attach extension to your eye lashes strand by strand, very detailed!

Here mine design - edges towards the end is gradually longer!

Upon completion, it will take 20-30 minutes to ensure adhesive on the eyelashes is completely dry!

*If you feel uncomfortable when blinking, just tell the beauticians and they will touch up for you *

      How to maintain the eyelash extension : 

1. When washing face; it is best to use facial cleansing sponges, gently cleaning areas around your eyes!
2. When removing eye makeup; do it gently by using cotton buds.
3. Try not to use oily based make-up remover as it will dissolve the adhesive on the eyelashes.
4. If you want to clean the eyelash extension, press and rub it softly with damp fingers!

Mine is already 3 weeks by now and it's really convenient. I just need 15 minutes for a base makeup and simple hairdo, without all the hassle for eye makeup anymore. temporary goodbye to mascara and eyeliner! Eyelash extension is a great option if you want something with low maintenance and easy to upkeep
